Planar, a global leader in visualization technology, is officially set to showcase its portfolio of advanced display solutions to at the InfoComm 2025.
According to certain reports, the company plans on highlighting its wide-ranging support for both indoor and outdoor applications. More on the same would reveal how these demonstrations are likely to include high performance ultra-fine pitch LED video walls for indoor applications.
Talk about the stated solutions on a slightly deeper level, we begin from Planar® DirectLight® Essential Series, which basically arrives on the scene bearing Chip-on-Board (COB) LED technology so to offer high pixel density, energy efficiency, and exceptional durability for supporting an array of high-traffic environments.
It further delivers at your disposal deeper blacks and sharper visuals with a 30,000:1 contrast ratio and high refresh rate of 3,840Hz. As a result, Planar DirectLight Essential Series is able to support incredible visual performance for indoor environments through abundant ambient light.
Beyond that, the series features a proprietary driver integrated circuit (IC), specially, specifically built to mitigate issues revolving around brightness and color uniformity. In case that wasn’t enough, it can also leverage Planar® DirectLight® Essential Complete™ display configurations to achieve effective, hassle-free video wall deployment.
Next up, there will be on display Planar® DirectLight® Pro Series. Upgraded with MicroLED technology, this new and improved line of fine pixel pitch LED video walls can be expected to offer customers a wide color space and deeper blacks for improved video performance.
Complementing that would be a new high brightness model which features exceptional efficiency of power, as well as brightness with 2,000 nits and 135 watts, making the solution ideal for maximum performance in high ambient light environments.
Alongside that, we also have a low power model coming into play, a model which offers 500 units of brightness with only 68 watts of power consumption. The latter treads up a long distance to accommodate the needs of energy-conscious customers.
Another assortment of innovations poised to go on the display would be Planar® Luminate™ Ultra W Series. This series offers you a whole new standard in close-up outdoor viewing of media-rich content.
You see, its MicroLED video wall displays can very well produce enhanced black levels and high brightness even in direct sunlight. Apart from that, the series enjoys a 16:9 wide aspect ratio and 3,000-nit brightness, something which allows for it to be configured and match Full HD and Ultra HD resolutions. Such a mechanism also supports viewing from as close as eight feet.
At present, the series in available in models like 1.3, 1.6 and 2 millimeter pixel pitches, joined by front-service ruggedization with Glue-on-Board (GOB) technology for greater durability.
Moving on to Planar® UltraRes™ L Series All-in-One LED Display, it will give participants a peek into its best-in-class fine pitch technology, which can be quickly assembled by only two people and powered through single 110V cable.
The Full HD resolution all-in-one MicroLED display also features on-board processing, audio, and multiple inputs to support simultaneous viewing of up to four content sources, as well as 10-point IR touch technology for enhanced collaboration.
The series, at launch, offers 109, 122 and 136-inch sizes and wall mount or rolling floor stand options, thus offering flexibility to accommodate permanent or mobile installation needs.
Then, there is the Planar® DirectLight® Slim Series, an innovative fine pixel pitch MicroLED video wall display line geared towards providing an ultra-thin, narrow width form factor to support curved and space-constrained applications.
“We’re excited to present what is truly our most robust and diversified lineup of industry-leading Planar DirectLight LED innovations at InfoComm 2025,” said Robert Detwiler, Senior Director of Product Management at Planar. “We’ll be debuting Planar DirectLight Essential Series, our first COB display in the Planar DirectLight product portfolio, as well as a handful of new visualization technologies that feature ultimate design flexibility, unprecedented durability and remarkably vibrant visuals. This year’s expanded portfolio uplevels our leadership of supporting nearly every application with the finest performance like never before.”
