A Landmark Unveiling in the Journey to Rejuvenate Consumer Electronics

Goertek has officially announced the launch of several new groundbreaking technological solutions in acoustics, optics, and microelectronics, each one meticulously designed to scale up audio-visual interaction.

According to certain reports, the stated assortment begins from Goertek’s XR innovations, where the company introduced a pair of AR reference designs in Mulan 2 and Wood 2. Both these designs tip the scales at just 36 grams and 58 grams respectively, thus dramatically improving comfort. More on the same would reveal how Mulan 2 features an ultra-thin carbon fiber frame and ultra-light titanium alloy hinges, combined with holographic waveguide lenses and Micro LED optics, to conceive a sleek design with minimal light leakage.

As for Wood 2, it effectively integrates breakthrough technologies, including an ultra-light front frame and ultra-small SiP module, to support full-color display, high-definition recording, and multi-modal AI interaction.

Moving on, Goertek also introduced a PC VR reference design, which brings to the fore a single-eye 4K Micro OLED display and a 3P Pancake optical solution. Leveraging optimized design and materials, the device weighs at an estimated 145 grams, reducing the burden of extended use. Beyond that, the company would deliver a single-optic dual-eye diffractive waveguide AR display module with Surface Relief Grating (SRG), which delivers a mix of exceptional display quality.

Next up, Goertek would announce the launch of several different cutting-edge acoustic and haptic components for mobile phones, tablets, TWS earbuds, VR/AR and smart glasses. These components were highlighted by a DPS speaker, capable of providing high-quality stereo sound, while simultaneously ensuring complete privacy during calls.

Then, there is the arrival of industry’s first side-facing, waterproof, full-metal BOX and TWS earbuds with a single-sided tweeter/woofer combo speaker. Alongside that, we saw high-performance linear motors that offer a completely improved acoustic and tactile experience.

For audio, the company exhibited a call noise reduction solution which integrates VPU sensors and DNN algorithms to significantly improve voice clarity in high wind noise environments. In case that wasn’t enough, the company even introduced anti-leakage sound chamber designs, complemented with proprietary sound enhancement and active acoustic algorithms. These innovations, all in all, deliver private and immersive audio experiences for OWS and AI glasses.

Another launch worth a mention here is rooted in Goertek’s extensive array of sensors, microsystems, and smart interaction modules. This lineup specifically included acoustic, pressure, ToF, SiP, and piezoelectric touch offerings for smartphones, wearable health devices, smart earbuds, VR/AR, and other smart devices. The company has further deployed a high-precision packaging process that breaks size limitations to develop ultra-small acoustic sensors that can make sound clearer, more accessible, and intelligent. Next to that, Goertek presented innovative piezoelectric buttons, strengthening its diverse portfolio of microelectronic solutions.

Hold on, there is more, considering we still haven’t touched on the introduction of several smart wearables that seamlessly integrate health monitoring and multi-modal interaction capabilities. Here, we have a smart ring which features a whole spectrum of PPG, body temperature, and IMU sensors for comprehensive all-day health monitoring. It supports a range of controls, including tapping, swiping, air mouse, and gesture recognition, for seamless interaction with connected smart devices.

On top of that, a separate innovative ring employs both reflective and transmissive PPG for medical-grade health monitoring. You see, the technology’s in-built microphone allows users to interact with an AI assistant, making it easy to control connected smart devices. The ring is also equipped with the industry’s smallest micro-motor, providing precise vibration feedback for an enhanced user experience.

Finally, Goertek launched its innovative in-vehicle UWB technology. This innovation basically makes it possible for a single remote control to manage multiple in-car devices via UWB anchors. In essence, the system is designed to detect breathing patterns for gauging if a child has been left in the vehicle, and for detecting foot kicks to open and close the trunk. Such a setup, like you can guess, enhances both driving safety and convenience.

Within the same record, the company also introduced its automotive AR-HUD coaxial dual focal-plane module, which addresses issues of viewing angle adjustment and display blurriness so to ensure a smooth and uninterrupted driver’s gaze.
